Profile
Sanae Yamada was born in Ehime, Japan, in 1972. Since 2003, she has been living in Malaysia with her husband and two children. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Kyoto City University in 1996. After her children grew up, she turned her attention to painting the tropical nature that surrounds her, drawing inspiration from Malaysia’s lush environment. In March 2025, she completed her Master of Fine Arts degree at Kyoto University of Art.
1972年、愛媛県生まれ。1996年、京都市立芸術大学美術科卒業。2001年にマレーシア人と結婚、2003年にマレーシア移住。二人の子育て期間の後、身近なマレーシアの自然に魅せられ、水彩、アクリル、油彩などで、熱帯植物や動物を中心に描き始める。2025年3月、京都芸術大学大学院、美術工芸洋画分野修了。
